Food is good, but expensive for what it is. Staff attitude I could write a book about, so best not to start me on that one. Happy to charge for extras, but as it's 'No Substitutions' they won't just charge the difference if you want something changed. Just inflexible take it or leave it type of place. Couldn't wait to get out of there.

Thanks to your brilliant, well balanced reviews me and my two boys (32 and 5) had The. Most. Brilliant breakfast this morning!

Having not visited Shoreham before we had cause to be there early on a Sunday morning and planned a cooked breakfast to ease the 6.30 alarm!

Teddys was very busy from the getgo but the service was quick and friendly. The food was fab! I don't usually expect much from a fry up but this was properly brilliant. I now like black pudding which, I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear, was crispy!

Thanks again for this site, it was EXACTLY what I needed last night while trying to do some research.

Also, my man had a take out cappuccino which he loved

Popped in to Teddy's with the hope of finding a hot chocolate with cream to warm my fingers deadened by the sub zero temperatures which were proving too unbearable to contend with whilst waiting 27 minutes for the illusive 2a bus to return me to Brighton. I must add that I have looked high and low for some time now in Brighton and Hove for a hot chocolate good enough to compare to that made legendary in the film 'Chocolate'. I have no found it. A couple of women on their lunch break I'd collared walking along the high street whilst waiting for the bus told me about Teddy's and so I ventured in. To say I was delighted with the drink was an understatement. I ordered a contempoary hot chocolate, then whilst sat waiting noticed their board offering 'Gingerbread' hot chocolate topped with cream. I changed my order. Suffice it to say, that when the drink arrived in a large Cath Kidson mug and I tasted the cream I was overjoyed. Fresh cream. thick fresh cream, topped with grated milk chocolate and then the drink beneath, My God, was gorgeous. Gingerbread chocolate. No word of a lie the most delicious combination of flavours I have ever encountered. I downed it in five minutes and then in post drink ectsasy was found to be raving at the checkout in Shorehams Co - Op. I am going back. A most definite love. Lovely drink, lovely venue, great menu and friendly staff.

What a marvellous Cafe! Lovely food, excellent coffee, extremely pleasant staff and nice facilities. We always visit there whenever I am in Hove.
The only minus points -why are dogs allowed in? I don't think this is very hygienic, especially as food is on display. Dogs should not be allowed in restaurants.

I am retired and look forward each morning of going to the THE CABIN CAFE for my breakfast (Mon to Sat) and to seeing and having the crack with mine host Jean, and the staff Francis and Jesse.
No matter what type of breakfast I opt for, I find the meal of the highest quality (Supplied by the top Wholesaler on the South Coast), quantity, and the price being within one's budget; in actual fact one is spoilt for choice whether one compiles one's own or you order a set meal, i.e. 'Scania.'
I'm also looking forward to the day that Francis arrives at the Cabin before I do!!
Keep it up giving us a good start to the day 'girls' and good health and luck during 2013.

Superb, friendly service - complimentary Mince Pies were an added bonus but we really would have preferred chocolate as an alternative!

Well done to Little Chef and all their staff at Podimore!

This is the 3rd time I have been here, after 8 minutes I had to ask if some one was going to serve me, even though the cafe was empty, which says a lot as this lovely little place use to be packed out every day.
I will not be coming here again, staff do not seem to be bother.

As an Edinburgh resident of some years but originally from the south of England, I have to say that sadly breakfast is something Edinburgh does not do well. Most locations rely on poor quality catering options instead of the outstanding ingredients available to us in Scotland. There are however one or two outlets worth reviewing slightly off the tourist trail, and now that I have found this site I shall endeavour to provide reviews for them.

I grew up in Midhurst and used to visit this tea shop/cafe in the 70's with my Mum and Dad. I have many good memories of the place, so when I recently visited the town with my sister we thought we'd pop in for old times sake. It was lovely (quite a bit more up market than it used to be though). We were made very welcome, the shop is cosy and comfortable and we sat and talked all afternoon without being made to feel we should leave. The food was lovely (we bought more to take home with us). It was so nice to be able to come back to the town and to feel as welcomed and at home as when we were last there (30 years ago). Thank you. Its well worth a visit, if you can make it up the stairs.
