When a breakfast menu taunts you with the slogan, "If this was your last day on earth, this is what you’d have for breakfast..." , it's difficult to pass up an invitation. So with our last supper potentially on the plate in front of us, would we find breakfast heaven or would it really be the Armageddon waiting for us?

In order to try and make our website more respectable, the Breakfast Menu team decided to indulge in some of the finer things in life. The delicate floral wallpaper and china tea cups are a slight change from our usual haunts. So, what does the Steyning Tea Rooms have to offer our over-indulgent tendencies?

Located on Trafalgar Street at the end of Brighton's North Laines, Nia offers contemporary breakfast from an "eclectic" menu, which in their own words reflects "Brighton’s diversities with a great British twist".  But with local favourite cafes Bills and Farm nearby, does the cafe match up, or more importantly live-up to their own bold statement?

Even on a cold, grey, damp November morning the Sussex town of Lewes looks nothing but idyllic and the quintessential Sussex experience.  It’s quirky set-up contains many concentrated features which add to the character of the town and demonstrate what there is to offer.  Within the boundaries of the small town there is a castle, a brewery reminiscent of the factory from Charlie and the chocolate factory, numerous boutiques and a unique football ground.  But more than this, in amongst all these features there is a Produce store which provides a breakfast that can rival any other in the county and beyond.

Found in the heart of Hove, this popular eatery uses locally sourced produce as the foundation of its breakfasts.  A short wait may be required for a table as its clientele pack all the tables and peruse the papers from the first moment of its 9am opening time.  If there is a queue to be seated, the cheese shop located on the first floor can whet your appetite whilst you wait.
